Parochial Vicar of St. Catherine of Siena and Immaculate Conception Parishes in Ithaca
Ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Rochester on June 27 by Bishop John S. Bonnici at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Fr. Cataline studied for the priesthood at St. John's Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts. A native of Geneva, he is a longtime member of St. Stephen Parish, where he served as an altar server and worked in the parish rectory during high school before later serving as a catechist for 10 years. Prior to entering the seminary, Fr. Cataline worked as an educator and school administrator for Baltimore City Schools for 15 years. During his final year of formation, he served as a deacon in the parishes of Waterloo and Seneca Falls.
As part of his ministry as parochial vicar, Fr. Cataline will also be helping out at Cornell and Ithaca College. We look forward to welcoming him to campus [from time to time?] for Mass, the sacraments, and fellowship. Please join us in praying for Fr. Cataline and extending him a warm welcome to Ithaca as he begins his priestly ministry.
